The Al Hosn Palace is equally as stunning and is the oldest stone building in Abu Dhabi. It was home to the country’s royal family until 1996 and is now open to the public. The malls are obviously amazing in Abu Dhabi and offer great dining and shopping. The souks are just as great and travellers should also try them out for the sheer variety of items including rugs, clothing, shoes, jewellery and spices. A family-favourite is the Emirates Park Zoo that is open throughout the year, and is a wonderful place to discover some interesting animals.
