There’s no doubting Ibiza’s reputation as the perfect clubbing destination, but that’s not to say you can’t enjoy a quiet break in this part of the world if that’s what you’d prefer. The island is packed with pleasantly peaceful beaches that can make for a really relaxing sunshine holiday – you just need to find out where they are!

Luckily, this is where our useful guide can help. Read on to find out all about our favourite laidback beaches to help you settle on the right bargain package holiday in Ibiza.
1) Es Xarco, Sant Josep de sa Talaia
Also known as Es Xarcu, this pretty little cove in southern Ibiza is the perfect place to head to if you want to do a little more than just lie on the sand on a trip to the beach.
Of course, the golden sand here is definitely worth spending a few hours on, but don’t miss out on the chance to do some sightseeing too; the beach is backed by a dense pine wood and situated close to a reservoir, offering some variety on a walk in the area.
You can also visit the nearby remains of a Punic settlement if you fancy learning a little about local history, or check out another beach in the vicinity – Es Jondal. Diving opportunities are plentiful, too, so there really is something for everyone here.
2) Calo Gracioneta, San Antonio Bay
Located close to its bigger cousin, Calo Gracio, this particular beach is excellent for a quiet holiday with the kids or your other half (or even on your own). Calo Gracioneta comprises a triangle-shaped cove filled with soft white sand and amazingly clear water that you can’t help but jump straight into!
The beach is pretty deserted compared with Calo Gracio due to its accessibility. It’s easy enough to get to by car, but is a little more time-consuming via public transport, depending on where you’re travelling from. However, we would say it’s certainly worth the effort!
There are plenty of other things to see and do nearby, so there’s lots of scope for excursions if you get bored simply lying on the beach all day (something that’s highly unlikely to happen, hopefully!). The Cueva de ses Fontanelles is a set of caves containing some intriguing paintings, while the medieval Ses Torres d’en Lluc archaeological site is also a worthwhile sight to take in.
3) Pou d’es Lleo, Santa Eularia des Riu
Also referred to as Canal d’en Marti, this compact beach boasts some great sea views and diver-friendly waters. Locals sometimes visit the beach, giving you an idea of how pleasant it is to be here if you’re looking for a quiet sun, sea and sand break.
Sightseeing possibilities are, again, plentiful in the area. Nearby Punta d’en Valls is home to a tower that guards against attacks from pirates, while the scenic natural surroundings cry out for long rambles best taken when the wind gets up and makes sunbathing slightly less pleasurable for a little while.
You’ll be able to see Isla de Tagomago, a private island frequented by the wealthy, from the beach. This little isle used to serve as a hideaway for the aforementioned pirates. You might be able to spot a lighthouse on the island if you look hard enough!
