If you love St. Patrick’s Day then why not do something different this year and celebrate it genuinely in Dublin, Ireland! Whenever I hear of this country, the first word that comes to my mind is “Evergreen”. Their vast green fields are so prominent and relaxing that if there’s one place to find peace and serenity, it’s got to be it.
There are a lot of magnificent views in this city and it’s easy to see these amazing tourist’s destinations because of their weather. Walking around this place will not make you tired at all because of their cool climate. Even when the sun is up and you’ve walked a long mile, sweating could be a struggle. That’s how cold it is. But I wouldn’t say that you’d freeze except if you visit here during the winter.
One of the must- sees in Dublin is the famous Carlmelite Church Whitefriar Street. The Irish are also quite known for being religious and it’s always a refreshing place to seek spiritually. The architectural structure of the church is exquisite with its great pillars and classic colors; you won’t help but be amazed on every detail this church was built.
If you love literature and you have a strong passion for the arts, then Dublin will surely satisfy your desires related to these. The works of famous literary personalities are here including Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett and Roddy Doyle. This city holds the biggest collection of books and other literary materials in all of Ireland. If you’re a writer, this place is definitely a piece of heaven on earth!
From the Chester Beatty Library to the National Museum of Ireland, I will assure you that you’ll never leave this place empty with all the knowledge and inspiration that you will get. Dublin is the City of Literature and there is no other place where you can find such preserved artifacts and manuscripts around Ireland but here.
Dublin is what I could say the center of arts, media and sports in Ireland. All known Irish publications are settled here and there is no way you should miss witnessing a football game at Croke Park. This sports arena is so massive, it holds a record of being the third largest stadium in Europe. Your athletic dreams will come alive in this place especially once you see an actually football game.
Now if you’re one of those who love to shop then Dublin is also the best city for you to check in while visiting Ireland. There are lots of malls surrounding the city like the Jervis, Grafton Street, Ilac Shopping Centre and many more. I would suggest you also visit the Moore Market in Dublin because they offer the freshest flowers and fruits! If you’re into organic stuff, then visiting this market should be part of your agenda.
I remember opening this article with the idea of St. Patrick’s Day and of course this will not be complete without going to the best bars in the city! If you love beer then it’s a must to try out having fun at the Break for Border. You won’t get lost going here because it’s a well-known bar in the city.
And of course, entertainment is not complete without music. Watch and listen to the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra at the National Concert Hall and I have to tell you that your level of musicality will definitely be upgraded! And did I mention that this is the home of the famous rock band U2? So expect that the quality of music in this town to be superb!
If you want a complete getaway and have yourself surrounded by words of wisdom from the wise men of the past and the present, then Dublin is for you. I wouldn’t really wonder now why their music makes so much sense that it can change the world. Coming here, you’ll find yourself singing the lyrics of Bono from U2,

“It’s a beautiful day
The sky falls, you feel like
It’s a beautiful day
Don’t let it get away”.
