Atlanta & The Dirty South
A sweep through the Southern part of the United States will allow you to see many of sports finest attractions. Known for its passionate college football fans and for being home of America’s baseball team, the Atlanta Braves, the South boasts many of the world’s finest sports teams. From Bryant-Denny stadium hosting the many time college football champion Crimson Tide of Alabama to The Swamp in Gainesville, Florida, the south is sure to not disapopint any college football fan. Also, the South has Augusta, Georgia, which plays host to perhaps one of the most elite golf tournaments, the Masters at Augusta National. Sweeping through the south in a single week could land you among some very fun sporting events & beautiful venues.
California & the West
Making a vacation out of visiting sports venues in the Western United States may be difficult as they are more spread out. Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and California, however, play home to many professional teams and legendary venues. Many golf courses are in these two states that host some of the best tournaments, and the weather here is good most of the year, lending itself to a fun-loving outdoorsy crowd. Head out west if you have extra time and want to visit venues such as California’s Candlestick Park in San Francisco, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, the Coliseum in Southern California, and Pebble Beach golf course, to name a few.
