Wimbledon Windmill
A Grade II listed windmill located on Wimbledon Common in the west of South London, Wimbledon Windmill is preserved as a museum.
The nearest stations by public transport are Wimbledon (District Line, Tram Link and main line trains) and Putney (main line) or East Putney (District Line).
The museum has exhibits covering windmills and milling along with local history and the Scouting movement. It was started in the year 1976 on the first floor since the ground floor was used to accommodate Wimbledon Common Rangers. Later the museum was extended to both floors in the year 1999 because of a Heritage Lottery Grand.
Southside Wandsworth
A shopping centre in Wandsworth Town, Southside Wandsworth was the largest indoor shopping centre when it was built. It is currently the fifth largest indoor shopping centre after Westfield Stratford, Westfield London, the Whitgift Centre and Brent Cross.
Chez Bruce
Chez Bruce is a high-end modern French dining restaurant offering a lovely range of fine wines and cheese board. The restaurant was opened in the year 1995 by Bruce Poole and his business partner Nigel Platts-Martin.
Battersea Power Station
A decommissioned coal-fired power station situated on the south bank of the iconic river Thames in Nine Elms in Battersea. It includes two individual power stations that are built in two stages in the form of a single building.
The nearest railway stations to Wandsworth are Wandsworth Town, Wandsworth Common, (one stop from Clapham Junction a few minutes train ride from Victoria); and Earlsfield, (one stop from Clapham Junction, and a few minutes train ride from Waterloo Station).
