The Loch Ness Monster is one of the most sought after mystery sightings in the world. In fact, according to the BBC it just recently topped the Himalayas Yetti in a list of the top 18 mysteries for travelers to solve in 2014.
Strangely enough, the animal that is thought to be native to the lake Loch Ness was reported to have been seen in Australia.
Where was the Loch Ness Monster seen in Australia?
A few locals have reported sightings of the Loch Ness Monster by Magnetic Island. Many beach goers claim that they saw the curved neck that is known to represent the Loch Ness bobbing out of the water. They believe that it was either the animal, or a relative of some sort.
A man named Herron took a photograph of the creature, and reports that he wasn’t sure what it was, but it definitely could be the Loch Ness Monster.
Interestingly enough, Yahoo Australia has a few reports from earlier this year, of people seeing this monster around Magnetic Island. This is not the first time the monster has been reported to have been seen by these islands.
Isn’t the Loch Ness Monster supposed to be in Scotland?
The Loch Ness Monster is known for residing in Scotland’s Loch Ness Lake, hence the name Loch Ness. This is why many viewers and avid searches of the Loch Ness Monster claim that it could be a relative of some sort.
Have there been previous pictures?
The history of the Loch Ness Monster has been littered with various photographs. The most famous one was originally taken by Dr. Robert Kenneth. He had spent quiet some time searching for the beast, one newspaper began to ridicule his searches. To their surprise Dr. Robert released a photograph of the actual monster. However, later on Dr. Robert admitted that the photo was a fake, he had created it with a toy submarine.
What was the earliest sighting of the Loch Ness Monster?
For those of you who don’t know, the legend of the Loch Ness Monster is quiet an old one. Back in the 6th century there is a legend of Saint Columba who allegedly saw the beast. He had one of his assistants swim across the river Ness when a giant creature swam out of the water to attack him. St. Columba made the sign of the cross and told the beast to go no more further, according to the story the beast stopped and then swam away.
Any other evidence of the Loch Ness Monster?
While there are other videos and photographs of the Loch Ness Monster; most of them are considered to be of low quality. For instance, most of the videos that people have made of their sighting were shot at far away distances. Many skeptics say that they will consider this evidence, when a high quality video is available. While there is no evidence, there are plenty of different sightings that can be investigated. Needless to say, keep an eye on the magnet islands of Australia, to see if any other sightings are reported.
