You have signed on with a travel social networking community. For this you do deserve to be commended for your initiative. There are many people who have a great love for travel and are also interested in meeting like minded people. The issue with them is they do not always take the initiative to do so. Those that have signed onto a social network site to join a community of fellow travelers definitely do deserve a little praise.
They also deserve to hear a little bit of wise advice. Namely, joining a travel social networking community is not enough. You cannot simply add a sparse profile to the social network site and hope that it helps you get noticed in the community. It may very well end up being indexed and some people could say nice things about it. However, in terms of the profile really drawing in people’s attention, a sparse profile is not going to cut it. - If you have a muse you wish to share, present it in the form of a blog or notes posting. This will give visitors a nice insight into your interests and likes.
Remember, a travel social networking community is supposed to be communal and a solid profile will definitely help you attain such a goal.
