Blackpool is a seaside town located in the North West Part of England. So very many people come to the resort town of Blackpool that the Blackpool Airport is said to be the swiftest growing airport in the entire United Kingdom. Of course Blackpool hotel accommodation is absolutely proliferate!
One of the better sightseeing locales is called the Blackpool Tower. Granted it is one very tall and large tower, but people are absolutely astounded to hear that within it are 5 different attractions with each on a separate level. At the very top is what is called the Blackpool Tower Eye, then the Blackpool Tower Dungeon, this is followed by an entire circus called the Blackpool Tower Circus. Amazingly then there is the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, and then Jungle Jim’s. Then in a nearby building, everyone will marvel at Madame Tussauds Blackpool as well as the Sea Life Blackpool! Youths of under 10 years of age are not suggested to be allowed to visit the Dungeon, but all ages are welcome at all the other levels and attractions.
As amazing as it is, Blackpool has three distinct piers available for tourists in the area. You may prefer the relaxing views from the North Pier, but the central pier is attractive as well for either adults, the young at heart or children. Finally the South Pier is very loud, but filled with fun for the whole family. South Pier features many rides for all such as a Ghost Train ride, “Maxibounce” a trampoline where the riders are safety harnessed, “Spider Mountain” a spider web that everyone must climb, a Reverse Bungee ride, the “Skyscreamer, as well as a freefalling swing that falls from the dizzying height of approximately 125 feet called the “Skycoaster.” In addition there are dodgem cars, a Crazy Mouse ride, and a waltzer which is reminiscent of a carousel but with g-forces! There are also brand new rides such as “Gyroloop” and also “Coconut Climbers.”
Pleasure Beach Blackpool
The promenade at Blackpool leads one toward Pleasure Beach. This is the locale of a huge roller coaster named The Big One, although when it opened it was called the Pepsi Max. Today, it is well named “The Big One” as the highest point reached by this coaster is 213 feet, and the first drop felt by the riders measures 205 feet. The entire ride is over a mile in length. The maximum speed felt by the riders is 74 mph! G forces felt by the riders are 3.5G, thus it makes for a very interesting ride.
One of the newer rides there is called Infusion. This is a looping totally suspended roller coaster, and it is actually suspended over water! Other rides are called Valhalla, Steeplechase, Revolution, Ice Blast, Grand National, Big Dipper, and also Avalanche.
For the very young there is also Nickelodeon Land. There you’ll find Nickelodeon characters right out of the TV shows on the network, as well as 12 different rides that are very family oriented such as SpongeBob’s Splash Bash. In addition, there is also Rugrat’s Lost River ride that includes a flume.
New at Pleasure Beach is also an ice skating rink. There they will have hi-speed skating, and ice skating will be taught there too. In addition, a brand new ice show is held with famous skater Katie Stainsby starring in the show.
