When looking for that dream honeymoon destination there really are just a handful that spring to mind, mainly in the Indian Ocean, with the Seychelles usually being near or at the top of any ladies wish list for must see honeymoon locations.

If you are looking for an unspoilt tropical paradise that feels separated from the rest of the World then the Seychelles is the place for you. This area is home to some of the most amazing islands in the World and you could return every year on your wedding anniversary and always find something new to see or do and somewhere different to stay. Just looking at a brochure makes it easy to see why the Seychelles has been referred to as the ‘Original Garden of Eden’. You will find soft white sandy beaches, coco de mer palms, wildlife in the wonderful forested areas, beautiful clear waters ripe for snorkelling or diving and even a golf course if you’re looking for something else to do while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
The Seychelles really is the ultimate luxury destination for a relaxing honeymoon and you can stay in a variety of accommodation including private villas with personal swimming pools and butlers or hotels where you can be waited on hand and foot too. Once you’ve had a refreshing sleep and woken up to breakfast in bed you can explore some of the beautiful botanical gardens and see the densely filled forests which are ideal for explorers.
If you are not so keen on diving or snorkelling fear not as you will be able to take in schools of brightly coloured fish even just standing at the shore, or on a jetty, all while enjoying a fresh coconut cocktail or mango plucked right from the heart of a grove.
Mahé is the capital here and is home to mountains and plantations which offer an alternative to relaxing on the beach or swimming in the sea. Mahé is the ideal island for explorers and once you’re all tuckered out from your exploration consider visiting the island of Praslin for beautiful secluded beaches and palm trees to take shade under.
La Digue is another location that is a must see and here you can take part in some fishing, relax in a spa or enjoy some of the delicious local cuisine on offer. You will be away from some of the more slightly populated tourists locations here and will find this to be a wonderful location for romantic walks, meals and time together.
With the Seychelles enjoying a tropical climate throughout the year you really can visit any time you like, however, note that the most humid weather can be experienced between October and April with May to September offering the more dry and cool weather with tropical showers appearing at any point throughout the year.
If you are looking for relaxing turquoise beaches and a destination that is simply breathtaking then consider the Seychelles for your honeymoon or romantic getaway. You can even plan an impromptu trip here as you need not apply for a visa before travel either.
